Capricorn Helicopter Rescue 2 Hour Team Challenge

2020 Rocky MTB 2 Hour Team Challenge in support of Capricorn Helicopter Rescue

Event: Rocky MTB 2 Hour Day/Night Team Challenge

2020 is nearly done, but here is a last chance for some team racing at Seeonee Park and a chance to support a great cause.

Capricorn Helicopter Rescue provide a vital service to CQ and maybe, just maybe, you as a mountain biker may require their services one day. Let’s hope not!

In the meantime we will be donating $10 from each race entry to this vital service and have some fun racing with your mates. This is a team race with a twist. Both team mates will be on course at the same time and must cross the start/finish no more than a bike length apart.

There are 2 tracks – a long and a short. Forget the podium, it’s about raising some money and having a last hit out before our summer hibernation. All you need is a mountain bike with a working light (preferably two) and a sense of adventure.

Where: Arunga Hut, Seeonee Park Scout Camp, 399 Yeppoon Road, Rockhampton (Between Access 4 and 5).

Host: Rockhampton Mountain Bike Club Inc.

Date: Saturday 14th November 2020, registration: 4:00pm, race briefing 4:45pm, start time 5:00pm.

Race Duration: Teams race for 2 hours starting 5pm and finishing at 7pm. All riders completing night laps must have a working headlight. Race organisers will advise of a cut off time during the riders briefing.

Dan is current el presidente for Rocky MTB. When he's not building trails he is dreaming of building trails. Owner of just two bikes he is somewhat behind the times but rest assured they are both MTB's.  Too tall to be an Ewok and too short to be a Storm Trooper there was no future for him as a Star Wars extra so mountain bikes it is.
